Product Spotlight: Century Rods – The Weapon

Fresh or salt, there’s a rod in the Weapon series to fit your needs and then some!

The Weapon series of rods is really more than just a few rods that do a few things, it is line-up of tools to fill just about every fishing application from freshwater bassing to inshore salt to even some light offshore duty with crossover applications galore—it really is, well, a weapon!

Every model in the Weapon series is available as both a blank to be wrapped by your favorite custom rod builder, as well as in a factory build featuring a stripped-down, sleek, performance-oriented feel and look. Factory rods are loaded out with titanium frame guides with silicon nitride rings, a Fuji DNPSM graphite reel seat with double locking nut, and a heavy duty solid rubber but cap.

All rods feature Century’s Graphene high performance resin system for strength, weight reduction, durability, recovery, and anti-torsional properties; Anti Twist Technology which utilizes all the energy stored in a single plane, with no side to side deflection; Textreme functional finish which aids in recovery speed and durability of the rod blank with a minimal effect on weight; Autoclave Processing which results in a completely void free composite that makes the deflection pattern stay true longer than any other rod on the market; and Gear Box progressive loading system. These technology features make a superbly light, dynamic, long casting and powerful fish catching tool designed for the long run.

There are models in the Weapon series built on one-piece blanks, two-piece blanks featuring a 70-30 split and four-piece travel rods. Available in both spinning and conventional builds, and rod length ranges from 6.5 to 9.5 feet in length.

Blank pricing begins at $200, while finished rods begin at $400 and are based on model. For more information visit CenturyRods.com.
