The all-new Pursuit DC 306 replaces one of their most popular dual consoles, the DC 295. Featuring an innovative, fully integrated fiberglass hardtop with tempered glass windshield and the dual console design’s walkthrough door, both captain and crew can be fully protected from the elements. The windows port and starboard deliver unparalleled visibility with unobstructed views. When the center window is closed and secured, the bridge deck is dry and wind-free, a hallmark of Pursuit’s dual console design.
The versatile seating arrangement throughout the vessel features Pursuit’s signature upholstery with dry fast foam, mesh backing, rich accents, and detailed stitching. Between the aft cockpit and the helm area, you can sit no less than nine guests onboard, with a comfy cushioned captain’s chair with foldable armrests, an up/down seat bolster, fore-n-aft adjustment and storage down below; a port-side doublewide companion seat with flip-up bolster, armrests, glove box, and drink holders; an aft-facing double wide seat to port with folding armrest, concealed tackle storage, recessed drink holders and insulated cooler below; a twin-sized transom bench with self-adjusting backrest; plus an optional doublewide folding bench seat in the port gunwale that replaces the under-gunwale rodholders. Set aft of the captain’s chair to starboard, the molded fiberglass entertainment center features a sink with a freshwater faucet, trash can, and dry storage, topped by a hinged fiberglass lid and door.
At the helm, the standard twin dual 12-inch Garmin displays, controls, and navigation equipment are ergonomically engineered to provide the captain with the ability to operate with confidence. Teak accents around the helm add warmth and style. The port console area is equipped with a fiberglass companionway door, entryway step, molded console liners for easy cleanup, configurable storage that accommodates eight rods, the optional cockpit and bow tables, and safety gear, plus removable cushions. The DC 306’s starboard console features a dual action door with a marine head with a nine-gallon holding tank, macerator discharge pump, stainless steel deck pump outfitting, a bronze thru-hill fitting with seacock, molded freshwater sink with Corian countertop, plus all the usual amenities.

When it’s time for this multi-mission sport utility vehicle to bend the rods and catch dinner, she’s no slouch when it’s time to go fish. Standard fishing accouterments include a four stainless steel gunwale-mount rodholders (two per side); a quartet of stainless steel rodholders installed in the transom cap; another quad of rodholders set vertically in the aft hardtop piping; a lighted Oceana blue 26-gallon recirculating insulated livewell with clear acrylic lid positioned in the starboard corner; a convenient Corian cutting board; plus under-gunwale rod storage to port. Both insulated fishboxes under the cockpit sole to port and starboard are equipped with independent diaphragm pumps with overboard discharge. There’s tackle storage in the port-side seat base and concealed behind the port-side aft-facing seat backrest. Rigged with her standard Yamaha F300 V6 outboards and spinning 18-inch pitch SWS II props, the Pursuit DC 306 hit a top speed of 53 mph at wide open throttle with three crew onboard with full fuel and water. The optimum cruise occurs at 3500 rpm, where this Florida girl will hit 28.5 mph on the GPS, drinking 17.4 gph for a net of 1.64 mpg. These are very respectable speed and fuel economy numbers for a deep-vee hull whose test weight was north of 12,500 pounds loaded as described. If you need to get to a hot bite or are compelled to beat the crowd to the raft-up party, advancing the throttles to 4000 rpm will clock 34.6 mph at 24 gph for a bottom line of 1.44 mpg, which is still near the top of her class. This translates to 346 statute miles and 304 miles, respectively, on the range scale using 90% of her stated 224-gallon fuel capacity, so if 3500-4000 rpm/28-34 mph is your preferred cruising band, she will give you a 100-fathom range on the days that the ocean allows you to run at these speeds.
