Axiom XL is a powerful network and video integration platform featuring three Ethernet ports for connecting with network sensors or with additional Axiom, Axiom Pro, and Axiom XL family displays. This simplified integration allows boat designers greater flexibility when creating multi-display and multi-station navigation systems. Axiom XL’s native FLIR thermal imaging camera support enhances navigation awareness and safety, while HDMI input enables Axiom XL to serve as a remote touchscreen PC or entertainment display at the helm.
At the heart of each Axiom XL display is a fast quad core processor that supports Raymarine navigation, radar, sonar, and FLIR thermal technology for an all-in-one, full-high-definition (HD) display solution. Powered by Raymarine’s LightHouse 3 Operating System, Axiom XL displays offer an elegant, intuitive, uncluttered interface that is fast, fluid, and easily personalized for each captain’s navigation style. Captains have the choice of multi-touch screen control or the Raymarine RMK-10 keypad for complete remote system control of multiple Axiom XL displays. The new Axiom XL16 and X19 displays are available now through FLIR’s network of marine electronics dealers. The Axiom XL24 will be available in July, followed by Axiom XL22 in September.
If you need something more downsized to fit on your dash panel, the Axiom Pro lineup includes a trio of models sized at 9-inches, 12.1-inches and 15.6-inches. Axiom Pro is engineered for captains that want it all. Available with RealVision 3D, 1kW CHIRP sonar and Raymarine HybridTouch control, Axiom Pro is Raymarine’s new standard for an “all-in-one” multi-function display. And with a blazing fast quad core processor, a super bright IPS display and the smart LightHouse OS, Axiom Pro delivers a fluid and intuitive navigation experience. Axiom Pro is easy to expand into an advanced navigation network that includes multiple Axiom displays, CHIRP radar, Evolution autopilot, FLIR thermal night vision technology, and more. I had some hands-on experience with these units at this past winter’s Miami Boat Show and they are definitely top-of-the-line marine electronics that can do it all and fit on most sportfishers in the 20-to-35 foot range, either as a single unit or in pairs.
Axiom Pro models are designed around Raymarine’s proven HybridTouch control user experience, featuring both a multi-touch touchscreen control of the LightHouse 3 operating system along with keypad, trackpad and a rotary control interaction. The combination of tablet-like touch screen and intuitive keypad operation lets operators efficiently and confidently access all of Axiom Pro’s features in all sea conditions. Axiom Pro is also available with two different built-in sonar options. Axiom Pro RVX models are designed for the sport fishing clique and have dual built-in sonars. RealVision 3D sonar offers CHIRP SideVision, DownVision, conventional CHIRP sonar and full 3D display. A 1kW high-performance CHIRP sonar for deep-water fishing is also built-in. Engineered for cruising and sailing yachts, Axiom Pro S models are equipped with a standard high CHIRP sonar built in. Axiom Pro S models provide accurate CHIRP depth sounding to depths of 900-feet and conventional sonar imaging.
