For the first time in several months, I’m happy to be able to say that all of the photos displayed here are recent catches! April roared in with awesome fishing and, with the exception of just one of these photos which was taken at the end of March, all of these fish were caught during the first two weeks of April. As you can see, it’s a nice mix of species, with both freshwater and saltwater represented. And now, as we cross into one of my favorite months of the season, things should rapidly flare up to fever pitch! Paul made an early April trip to Wachusett Reservoir and landed this monster lake trout that taped out at a massive 38 inches!Zack Hintz, owner of Zah’s Bait & Tackle snuck out at the end of March and tagged this awesome brown trout in an undisclosed Connecticut pond.Pascal Chmelar got in on some early blackfish action in western Long Island Sound with Shawn Barham.This photo embodies why more kids need to get bitten by the fishing bug.
