April is just around the corner and striped bass season comes on quickly after that. The Saltwater Edge in Middletown, Rhode Island wants to help you celebrate in style. Come visit the shop on April 11th to kick off the season with a veritable circus of the striped bass. The shop will welcome sales reps from Van Staal, Tsunami, Temple Fork, Simms and more, there will be food trucks slinging an array of interesting and delicious cuisine, and of course the shop will be open, stocked and ready to meet all of your pre-season needs.

The centerpiece of the event will be the plug tent, located in the side lot with custom wood and tackle from many of the finest plug builders on the planet. There will be selections from Chris Voorhies, Surf Asylum, BigWater Pikes, Gremlin, Guppy, GooGoo Man, Franktown, Paul Moriarty, RB Plugworks, 401 Plugs, and more! The show is free to the public. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be first-come-first-served for the plugs.

Following the Plug Show from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the tent will host the Saltwater Edge Surfcasting Expo this education event features panel discussions, Q&A’s and hands on demo’s from some of the best surfcasters in the game.
