On Saturday October 26th the South Shore Waterfowlers Association will present its annual Duckboat Show and Waterfowl Festival at the Town of Babylon’s Cedar Beach Marina on Ocean Parkway. The popular event celebrates the proud tradition, skills, and folk art of Long Island’s waterfowlers with activities for the entire family. These include a duckboat contest, vendor and exhibit displays, a sporting clay event, a retriever dog dock jumping contest, swap shops, raffles, door prizes, and more. Children can participate in Greenwing events including decoy painting. A food truck will be on hand to provide refreshments. Visitors are encouraged to bring canned goods or non-perishable items for SSWA’s annual food drive. Festival hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a $5 per person admission fee. Children are free. If necessary, a rain date will be held for the Festival on October 27th.
