Be sure to celebrate the Thanksgiving weekend in the Central Jersey surf with the 9th Annual Surf Turkey Tournament from November 25-28. Presented by Charlie’s Bait and Tackle in in Normandy Beach, this year’s tournament is catch and release, and the cash prizes are for first and second longest striped bass and a five fish stringer.
“Since the uncertainty of the opening of restaurants we will not be having our normal rewards dinner on Saturday night so all entry fees will be paid out as cash prizes plus we will be having raffle prizes also,” said Pete Kupper of Charlie’s. An ideal tournament for friends and family getting together during the Thanksgiving week, the contest starts 5 a.m. on November 25 and runs until 5 p.m. on November 28. Entry fee is $40.
