The Fisherman Magazine’s annual Dream Boat Fishing Challenge officially kicks off May 1, giving subscribers across the Northeast the chance to compete in one of the region’s most exciting season-long fishing contests. Running through November 30, the challenge rewards anglers for entering their largest catches across seven eligible species, with the top 10 fish in each category earning points on the leaderboard throughout the season. Designed to test versatility and dedication, the contest pushes competitors to target multiple fisheries over a full seven-month stretch in pursuit of Dream Boat champion honors.
Headlining this year’s contest is a grand prize package featuring a fully rigged Steiger Craft 23 Chatham Center Console powered by a Yamaha 250 outboard, along with premium electronics, trolling motor, marine flooring, and stabilization upgrades. Additional prizes will be awarded to top finishers and category winners throughout the season.
