THREE NEW STYLES CELEBRATE COSTA’S 30TH ANNIVERSARY

Older and wiser, though some may dispute the latter, I eventually came to appreciate the value of a high quality lens not only for fishing applications, but for the protection they afford your eyes during long stints on the water. I have had several pairs of Costas since that first pair, which met its demise when I poked my head out the car window while crossing a bridge at 55 miles per hour. Don’t ask me why I wasn’t wearing croakies on glasses that cost over $100 at the time, but I have gotten wiser in that regard at least.

THREE NEW STYLES
This year, Costa celebrates its 30th Anniversary by introducing a trio of new styles – Tuna Alley, Cat Cay and Saltbreak – that meet the needs of serious anglers. Tuna Alley features a large, wrap-around fit that virtually eliminates any outside glare. Front frame vents alleviate lens fogging, and a non-slip interior lining keeps the sunglasses comfortably in place. They are available in tortoise, matte black, white, crystal and a new blackout frame, along with the full spectrum of patented Costa 580G lenses. They retail starting at $169.

Cat Cay offers superior performance and great value at a very affordable price, starting at $129. They also feature front frame vents to keep lens from fogging, along with no-slip nose pads, and contain an open slot in the sunglass arms to attach a gripper retainer cord. Cat Cay is available in tortoise, shiny black, and the new blackout and sky frame colors.

Saltbreak boasts a large frame fit featuring a no-slip interior lining and temple tips that will have you forgetting that they are even on – that’s how comfortable they are. They are available in tortoise, matte black, silver, white and the new blackout color frames. They retail starting at $179.

These new styles are part of Costa’s performance sunglass category featuring nearly indestructible co-molded injected nylon frame construction, sturdy integral hinges and a lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defects.

580 LENS TECHNOLOGY
All Costa sunglasses are 100 percent polarized, and protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays. Their patented 580 lens technology offers unparalleled polarization and razor sharp clarity by blocking yellow light at the 580 nanometer from entering the eye. Costa’s 580 lenses are available in optically-ground glass (580G) or super lightweight, impact resistant polycarbonate (580P). Lens colors include gray, copper, amber, sunrise, and blue, green and silver mirror.

All three new styles are also available with Costa’s authentic prescription (Rx) sun lenses, creating the sharpest and clearest Rx sunglasses available on the market today. Costa’s Rx sunglasses come with a one-year warranty.

The latest technology combined with a wide range of options give anglers the ability to select the ideal pair of glasses for the type of fishing they do most, whether it be on the flats, inshore, offshore or on lakes and ponds.

Aside from the quality of their glasses, there is another important reason to wear Costa sunglasses. They have always been, and continue to be strong supporters of marine conservation and work with partners around the world to help increase awareness and influence policy so that both the fish and fishermen of tomorrow will have healthy waters to enjoy.
