The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) released the Atlantic Striped Bass Draft Addendum I to Amendment 7 (PDF) for public comment. This Draft Addendum presents background on ASMFC’s management of striped bass commercial fisheries; the addendum process and timeline; and a statement of the problem. This document also provides management options for public consideration and comment.
New York State will host an in-person hearing to receive public comments on Wednesday, December 7 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at DEC Division of Marine Resources, 123 Kings Park Blvd, Kings Park. Details to listen to the livestream of the meeting are available on DEC’s website. Attendees joining the livestream online or by phone are limited to listen-in only.
The public is encouraged to submit written comments regarding the proposed management options in this document by January 13, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. (EST).
