Bernie's Bait and Tackle

Mike at Bernie's Bait and Tackle reported fluke fishing has been decent from the Coney Island area on bucktails and Gulp. Things are starting to come together for various bottom species as well, including kingfish, blowfish and porgies. Clams or sandworms fished from the Breezy area or most docks and piers in the general location are yielding all of the mentioned species.

Mike at Bernie's Bait and Tackle reported the porgies have been consistently caught from Floyd Bennet Field Bridges and the Belt Parkway area. Night fishing at the Breezy Jetty has been good with stripers on eels and needlefish. Bluefishing slowed a bit in the recent days. A lot of spot have been in the area as well being caught on clams, sandworms and squid.
