A call to Dave’s Sporting Goods in Doylestown got us word of plenty of catfish and smallmouth giving angler’s decent fishing in the Delaware this past week. They told us that better water levels gave both boat fishermen and waders good access and fishing. The store also got reports of decent bass and crappie fishing in Nockamixon.

A call to Owen over at Dave’s Sporting Goods in Doylestown brought word of continued decent bass fishing in Lake Nockamixon. Own said bass will traditionally be shallow once the change starts then go deeper later in October. He also mentioned that the river was in better shape, and he fished the Riegelsville section and did well in as September was coming to a close, a good sign for the fishing in October. He ended his report by saying most lakes in lower Bucks County are on the verge of turning over and should be on the fall bite as October dawns
