We got two reports when we spoke with Diane over at Dave’s Sporting Goods in Doylestown, She told us the Tohickon Creek served up the best catches of trout on opening day and this past week. Her second report was on the shad fishing in the river. She said she started getting decent reports on Monday and the fishing got better as the week progressed. Reports on improve shad fishing came in from as far up river as Worthington. Anglers fishing the river have also been into some fair to good walleye fishing since the water started going down, she said.

We had some shad being caught in the Delaware and we got reports of shad being caught as far up as the Water Gap before the great deluge said Diane over at Dave’s Sporting Goods in Doylestown, The only report of any trout being caught came from the Tohickon she said.
