Up on the western North Shore, Blaise from Duffy's Bait & Tackle reported there are still plenty of striped bass up to 45 inches inside Hempstead Harbor. Sea Cliff Beach, Pryibil Beach, and the Aqueduct area are all producing on SP Minnows and Mag Darters, particularly during nighttime tides. Bunker chunks and sandworms are also continuing to account for fish. On the porgy front, Blaise said the beaches from Port Jefferson east have been producing the best action so far.

Blaise from Duffy’s Bait and Tackle in Glenwood Landing reports sensational bass fishing. In fact, if you don’t catch a bass now, you’ll never catch one. The fishing has been good inside Hempstead Harbor and to the west in Little Neck Bay. The fish are feeding on fresh bunker chunks and bloodworms. Yo-Zuri plugs and Mojo’s are also effective. In fact, the bass are so thick right now that they are hitting just about anything sent down to them. No reports on porgies, as everyone has been feasting on the stripers.
