The Ebb Tide reported continued improvement in the combo fishery on June 6. While fluke numbers still aren't where anglers would like them to be, catches were noticeably better. Martin Wellen Dowd became the first contest winner of the season with a 6.34-pound fluke landed on 6/6. Anglers also caught slot bass, oversized striped bass, sea bass, porgies, and a cocktail bluefish throughout the trip.

From the Ebb Tide, the crew reported a mixed-bag combo trip on May 29. Despite difficult northwest winds, anglers managed a few striped bass early before switching gears and locating some quality jumbo sea bass. A few fluke and even a squid rounded out the catch. On the Full Moon Striper Trip, anglers enjoyed steady action from start to finish with fish of all sizes. Oversized bass dominated the catch, with fish reaching 32 pounds. Roughly 70 percent of anglers limited out, while everyone went home with fresh fillets. Jigs and eels both produced throughout the trip.
