From Rob at Hi-Hook Bait and Tackle in Huntington, reports stripers continue to be abundant inside Cold Spring Harbor and Huntington Bay. Blood and sandworms, bunker chunks and fresh clam have all accounted for fish to 39 inches. No reports of flounder or blackfish this week. A few porgies have been taken accidentally by striper fishermen employing worm baits. Some trout are still being taken from the lakes and streams but the action has been fading. The shop is now open every day, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. except for Sunday when the hours are 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shop is fully stocked with all your bait and tackle needs.
