Captain John aboard the Shinnecock Star reported fishing both inside and outside over the past several trips. Anglers have been steadily picking away at a mixed bag that includes sea bass and ling outside, while the inside waters continue to hold abundant bait. Captain John of the Shinnecock Star reported a successful Ocean/Bay Combo trip on May 27. The boat headed outside for the first time this season and found a mixed bag that included quality sea bass and ling. Numerous undersized cod and blackfish were safely released. Trips will continue to fish both the bay and ocean, with runs to the reefs planned whenever weather and tide conditions allow. The popular "Stay in the Bay Tuesdays" trips begin June 2.
