This week of President’s Day Weekend may just be the busiest week of boating and fishing shows all winter long, with Edison, Lincroft and Oaks, PA all hosting big events with “how to” seminars geared towards the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region.
The New Jersey Boat Sale & Expo returns to the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center at Raritan Center for four days, February 15 through 18, with “how to” fishing seminars presented by The Fisherman Magazine.
The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center at Raritan Center is located at 97 Sunfield Avenue in Edison. Show hours are Thursday and Friday, February 15 and 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, February 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Seminars kick off on Thursday with The Fisherman’s Jim Hutchinson, Jr. (Fishing for Stripers) and field editor Nick Honachefsky (Jersey Exotics).

Once Nick and Hutch wrap up in Edison on Thursday, they’ll both be out at Oaks, PA for the Philadelphia Fishing Show opening on Friday, February 16 at noon and running through Sunday, February 18 at 5 p.m. at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA.
The Fisherman Magazine will present the entire weekend seminar lineup once again at the More than 40 different seminars and workshops will be presented at this year’s Philly Fishing Show at Oaks, covering a wide variety of fresh and saltwater topics running three consecutive days. Philadelphia Fishing Show admission is $12 for adults, kids ages 6 to 12 are $6, and kids 5 and under are as free as the parking. The show is open Friday from noon to 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
On Saturday, be sure to stop by The Fisherman’s table and say hello to Jenni Ackerman who’ll be at Brookdale Community College for Surf Day on Saturday, February 17. Presented by the Jersey Shore Surfcasters, this annual event is billed as “A Day Dedicated to the Surfcaster,” and returns to Brookdale College at 765 Newman Springs Road in Lincroft, NJ.
