Winter stocking is in full force across southern New England and now anglers are starting to cash in! Pictured above is Fisherman subscriber Fernando Lage with a nice Atlantic salmon caught in the Naugatuck River on Wednesday afternoon. If trout and salmon aren’t your thing, we have good reports of pike and bass being caught through the ice from western Massachusetts all the way to Lake Champlain. And holdover striper fishing has been heating back up this week as well. With a warm weekend ahead, there are plenty of angling options for anyone looking to shake off those winter cobwebs. Good luck!
