Contender Welcomes New Customer And Warranty Services Department Leader To Expanding Team

Contender Boats, known for building premium, semi-custom sportfishing boats, has hired Will Yaeger to lead its Customer and Warranty Services Department based out of its Homestead, Florida office.

In his role leading the Customer and Warranty Services Department, Yaeger has been tasked with building a robust department capable of serving the unique and diverse customer base and dealer network across the Contender portfolio, serving both the Homestead and Ft. Pierce factories.

“At Contender Boats, our customers expect the absolute best fishing machines, and a Customer Service and Warranty Department that aligns with that expectation,” said Yaeger. “Excellent customer service will be highly prioritized moving forward in the boating industry, and we will strive to be at the forefront of providing the highest level of service alongside our world-class product.”

Yaeger spent the previous 11 years in the luxury hospitality industry across the South Florida market, serving the clientele of high-end hotels and hospitals. Starting in an entry-level role for a luxury hospitality company, Yaeger quickly rose in the ranks to lead one of the most challenging markets. He attributes his growth and development to his mentors in the hospitality industry. He also believes this experience translates perfectly to the boating industry as he serves and supports the further growth of the Contender brand through enhanced customer engagement and support.

Growing up in rural Idaho, Yaeger spent much of his time fishing and hunting along the Snake River and Rocky Mountains, while spending his summers gaining a love for inshore and coastal fishing alongside his father and grandfather in the backwaters of Volusia County, Florida. He now calls South Florida home, where he enjoys outdoor sports and activities with his wife and two children including fishing, tennis, golf and coaching T-Ball.

“Will brings a wealth of experience working in the hospitality space, and we look forward to leveraging that level of expertise to the boating industry,” said Joe Neber, Owner and President.
