JCAA Fluke Tournament From July 30 To August 2

The Jersey Coast Anglers Association (JCAA) is reinstating its annual fluke tournament for 2026, to be held from July 30 to August 2.  “This is a no-frills tournament that will not have a captain’s meeting or an awards ceremony,” JCAA stated in an official release, explaining how that will save expenses and result in more cash going to the winners.

First place prize will be a 25hp Yamaha outboard valued at $5,795 awarded to the entrant who catches the largest fluke in the tournament. There will be a $1,500 cash prize for second place and a $750 cash prize for third place based on just 75 entrants. Prizes will be adjusted upwards or downwards based on the total number of entrants. Gift cards valued at $300 for fourth place and $200 for fifth place will round out the top five payout with, additional calcuttas as well.

“We realize that not everyone can fish two, three, or four days, so to be fair to everyone, each boat will be limited to fishing only one day,” the JCAA release stated, noting how each entrant will be able to choose the day they fish.

There will be 10 weigh-in stations from Sandy Hook to Cape May. Entry fee for up to six people onboard is $125 per boat before July 21, and $150 per boat after.  For details call 732-506-6565 or register online at www.jcaa.org.
