The Jersey Coast Shark Anglers (JCSA) will once again be hosting their annual “Catch & Release” Striper Fever contest from Saturday, November 1 through Saturday, November 8. It’s captains’ choice, fish one day or multiple days with paid entries for each.
The entry fee is $175 per boat per day fishing (up to six anglers), with Junior Anglers 17 and under fishing free with paid registered adult angler. Prizes are based on the number of tournament entries, with 40% to first place, 20% to second place and 10% to third. There are also winner take all calcuttas, with $100 entry for the longest striper and $100 for the three longest.
A mandatory captain’s meeting will be held on Friday, October 31 at 6:30 p.m. with door prizes and refreshments. Prizes following the weeklong event will be awarded on Tuesday, November 11. Both the captains meeting and the awards celebration will be held at the JCSA clubhouse located at 385 Herbertsville Road in Brick.
