LEWES HARBOUR FLOUNDER TOURNAMENT MOVED TO MAY 29

The Joe Morris Annual Canal Flounder Tournament date has been changed to Friday May 29, 2020. “Due to the current situation with restrictions, we felt it necessary to push the date out so hopefully we will all be in the clear and we can present as always a great tournament in memory of a great man, and for a great cause,” Lewes Harbour Marina noted in an official statement.

Entry fee is $40 per angler paid to Lewes Harbour Marina in Delaware, with $20 from each entry donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.  A summer flounder only tournament, boundaries are from the Rehoboth Bay Canal Entrance to Roosevelt Inlet entrance, and Broadkill River to Oyster Rocks Road.  Anglers must fish from a boat that’s not moored to land.

Fishing time is from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. with all contest fish to be weighed in at Lewes Harbour Marina. Value of the payouts will be determined by the number of entrants, with 40% of cash pool to first place, 25% to second, 20% to third and 15% to fourth.  The fifth heaviest fish will get a combo donated by Rick’s Bait and Tackle, with sixth place taking a combo donated by Henlopen Bait and Tackle.
