On August 2nd, the Yankee III out of Captree Harbor became a boat full of joy as the Second Annual Fishing Trip for the Kids set sail. Ten children battling childhood cancers, along with their families, spent a picture-perfect day on the water reeling in fish, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Every tug on the line and every fish brought over the rail lit up the kids’ faces with smiles that outshined the summer sun.
The special trip was made possible through the generosity of the Nassau Police Anglers and the Michael Magro Foundation (michaelmagrofoundation.com), who joined forces once again to give these young anglers and their families a day to remember.
