A first striper is always a special one! Four-year-old TJ McLaughin got his first-ever out fishing with his dad, Tommy.
Nick Barreiros worked the bunker pods on the western end of the island in the beginning of November for this 40-inch striper quickly caught and released.
Teddy, Dan, Sean and Tory took the Revenant to the Butterfish Hole right before the giant season closed. They came back to Oaklands Marina in Hampton Bays with this 113-inch, 801-pound monster.
Mid-October was hot for stripers in the Fire Island Inlet. Chance Kulla worked the waterway on a night tide, not far from the bridge for this slot striper on a live bait.
This was the first albie for David Marcus. And that became the first of seven that followed right after. He accomplished this top goal on a North Fork beach during the month of October.
George Fabricatore said, “The fishing for bluefish has been outstanding this year and this is a good example of the many that have been caught chunking at night.” This one pictured was chunked up in the central Long Island Sound.
The western bass bite treated Eli Zilban well. This 44-incher was caught and released on a live bunker not far from Deb/Jones Inlet.
Stripers weren’t the only thing hot out of Jones. One of the wrecks not far from the inlet gave up this 11.12-pound blackfish for Devon Osswald too!
