RISAA Show Hits Providence March 10-12 - The Fisherman

RISAA Show Hits Providence March 10-12

Now in its 19th year, what began in a school gym, now fills the Rhode Island Convention Center for three days from March 10th through the 12th. Hosted by the RI Saltwater Anglers Association, the show now fills over 300 booths and remains the largest saltwater fishing show in the Northeast. And the show continues to retain a healthy mix of national-level manufacturers and small “mom and pop” style vendors. After being a few years off due to COVID, last year’s return was an overwhelming success and proved to both exhibitors and fishermen that the NE Saltwater Fishing Show was back!

Buoyed by last year’s strong showing, we have new vendors this year as well as our longtime favorites.  Whether you like to fish for stripers, tuna, blackfish or fluke… this show has everything you’ll need to cover the bases. Boat manufactures have also filled in the show along with all the gear you’ll need to be safe on the water.

Attendees will find nautical-themed jewelry and some of the best beef jerky, fudge and (the always popular) crab cakes that you’ve ever tasted, longstanding pillars of the shows fabric. The kids casting area will be open on Saturday and Sunday, so bring your little ones.

The show hours are as follows, Friday: 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the cost is $12 at the door, children 11 and under are free. On Sunday women and children get in for free. As always, this year’s show features a free charter giveaway – this year a lucky winner will win a day of fishing with Capt Mike Littlefield of Arch Angel Charters. There will also be a limited entry raffle for an “Armed Forces Special Tribute” rod made and donated by Crafty One Customs, who also donated a custom 9-foot, one piece Bushido surf rod and a repeat of last year’s all-time favorite “abalone shell” rod!

Ticketmaster is again offering advanced tickets so you can avoid the lines at the door. And the first 200 veterans and/or active duty military personnel to arrive on Friday will receive free tickets courtesy of the Providence VA and the RI Saltwater Anglers Association. We look forward to seeing you there!
