The 2020 Progressive Insurance Saltwater Fishing Expo, the northeast’s premier saltwater fishing event, returns to the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center from March 13-15.
The three-day event will showcase more than 200 exhibitors selling thousands of saltwater fishing products, from new boats and kayaks to an array of accessories including fishing rods, reels and lures. The annual event also features free daily seminars lead by nationally recognized experts.
To celebrate all the fishing rods sold on the floor, all fishing “Rods” will enter free to the Saltwater Fishing Expo on Friday, March 13; that is, anyone named Rod – or a variation of the name – will receive free admission with a valid form of identification!
And for fishing families, children ages 11 and under will receive free admission into the exposition on Sunday, March 15, with the first 100 children receiving a gift upon entry (while supplies last). Once inside, children can participate in a scavenger hunt where a fully stamped checklist results in the opportunity to visit the Grand Prize Giveaway Booth, where all participants will receive a prize. Plus, free fishing for kids 11 and younger at the Trout Pond every day of the show!
Look for The Fisherman booth #462 as soon as you walk into the hall, and get there early in the day to check out the latest Savage bait option that could be yours with a new or renewed subscription. Show hours are Friday noon until 8 p.m., Saturday is 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Sunday is 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Adult admission is $13 (except for Rod on Friday!), with kids aged 6-11 $3 (free on Sunday), and 5 and under admitted free throughout the show.
