“School’s out for summer.” With that classic Alice Cooper song ringing in your ears and tuna racing into the offshore waters off the Jersey Coast, it’s time for South Jersey Marina’s School’s Out Tuna Tournament from Thursday through Sunday, June 18 to 21. The captains meeting is Wednesday night.
Now partnering with the Cape May Marlin & Tuna Club and Jim’s Bait and Tackle, South Jersey Tournaments is teaming up with the local community to kick off this event! The School’s Out Tuna Tournament features day trip or overnight options, extended weather window and several calcutta options for your team to target yellowfin, bigeye, and even swords and mahi. Giving all the options for anglers to choose from to be on the water at the right time!
Teams can depart from any Inlet from Cape May to Ocean City, NJ. Weigh-ins will be held at South Jersey Marina, with open house hospitality at the Cape May Marlin & Tuna Club.
Entry fee is $500 per boat which includes team’s tournament registration and hospitality. The captains meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 17 at the Cape May Marlin and Tuna Club located at 1390 Lafayette Street Cape May, with late registration starting at 6 p.m. Captains choice fishing runs Thursday through Sunday with the tournament awards dinner to follow at 9 p.m. Sunday.
