Cliff Roberts of Bloomfield caught and released this 25-inch rainbow trout on a Trout Magnet fished under a float along his local pond estimated at 6 pounds or better.Mike Maahs got in one last tautog trip before the end-of-April closure, scoring this 12-3/4-pounder on Frank Granieri’s Summer Wind while fishing at the Wildwood Reef site.While many folks like to wait for the most recent reports before venturing out, Waynesley Simon opted to make the reports with early morning stripers alongside a Delaware inlet jetty.Right on cue, black drum turned up along the backside of Seaside Park again this spring, as Keith Soycher soaked clams for nearly 6 hours until, as he told us, “it just went off.”Another cold and rainy start to New Jersey’s fluke season on May 4, but the weather didn’t stop the Lipper Army (Big Rob, Sully, and Lip Ripper) from putting together a full three-man limit.
