When CT angler Matt Stone headed out for some togging on his kayak, he didn’t expect to break his ‘personal best’ twice and he certainly didn’t expect to fall just a few ounces shy of the ‘catch and release’ state record, hear the whole story in the Connecticut portion of this video report. Togging has been very good in Connecticut, sadly the season closes April 30, but it has also been hot in Rhody, and Massachusetts is coming to a rolling boil as well, both of these states remain open through the end of May. Many other fisheries are heating up as well, striped bass are moving in all over southern New England, shad fishing is firing up in several rivers and trout catches remain steady and impressive throughout.
