The Fisherman Magazine Weekend Video Forecast 8/12/2021 – New England
The hot button issues this week are that the Canal has been giving up good catches of bass for the last few days and the offshore bite in the shipping lanes and canyons has been on fire for yellowfins and mahi. Topwater tuna has been red hot in the canyons this week with big schools of busting yellows crushing poppers. Bottom fishers can head to Coxes Ledge for a mix of sea bass, codfish and huge scup or they can stay closer to Block and catch some nice fluke. The Massachusetts North Shore has seen an influx of big bluefish and the outer beaches continue to put out nice stripers. Don’t believe that old story about the summer doldrums, it’s August and the fishing is good!
