After last week’s rumors, we have photographic proof of albies moving into Nantucket Sound and the reports have picked up steam in a hurry! With double-digit catches reported and fish to 10 pounds, this feels like it could be the start of an above average season. Bonito are still thick in the same waters and also remain well entrenched in Rhode Island. Tuna fishing has been red hot in the waters south of Block Island, but keep your eyes on the weather as Hurricane Ernesto appears to be poised to rain on that parade, at least temporarily. It’s definitely been the week of the tuna!
