It’s starting to feel like fall out there and the albies have arrived in Rhode Island and Massachusetts this week as several reports came in from areas across the region. It seems like the concentration is a little higher in Rhody waters, at least to start, but look for Nantucket Sound to catch up in rapid fashion over the coming days. The Cape Cod Canal has seen its first extended stretch of hot striper fishing since June. There are big blues hanging on the bunker schools out in western Long Island Sound and some really nice stripers are being caught in the vicinity of the Connecticut River as well. Has fall arrived early this year?
