The Fisherman Magazine Weekend Video Forecast 8/19/2021 – New England
Bonito fishing seems to be poised to explode as the waters east of Martha’s Vineyard have been heating up for a few weeks and Rhode Island saw its first heavy push of greenbacks on Wednesday. Football bluefins are regrouping south and east of Block Island this week and the fish have shown a particular affection for jigs. Fall-like surf fishing has taken hold from the New Hampshire shoreline down into northern Massachusetts with bait, birds and mixed sizes of bass taking a variety of lures. With some wild weather in the forecast for the weekend, we might just see the beginnings of the fall run as the storm approaches.
