For the ice-afflicted angler, Christmas has come early this year; we’ve been getting steady reports from ice anglers in New Hampshire and Maine and safe ice has spread south as far as northern Connecticut, with anglers reporting catches ranging from bass and pickerel to pike and lake trout. Closer to the coast, ice has become a bit of an issue, halting open water efforts while also being not yet safe enough to walk on. In saltwater news, party boats bound for Block Island have been crushing it with reports of tog, sea bass, scup, bonito and more!
