Big Trout Stocked in Rhode Island

Rhode Island DEM has been out ‘stocking stuffing’ this week as they stocked trout and Sebago salmon in three ponds, with a fourth planned by the weekend. The bite in these ponds has been awesome and the fish are big. Pike fishing fired up on the Connecticut River ahead of last week’s storm and with another weather event on the way, we could see an encore performance. Those fishing for holdover stripers are enjoying an above average offseason this year and some really nice fish have been landed. Treat yourself to some holiday cheer, go fishing!
