The Santa hats are in full effect this week as anglers across New England sneak in some much-needed sanity trips between errands and obsessively checking tracking numbers online. The cod and sea bass bite has been solid south of Block Island. Trout action has been good in the rivers. The ‘Chu’ is putting out lakers, while bass guys are scoring on jerkbaits.
