There are still plenty of angling options across the region for those afflicted with the fishing bug. The Shetucket River in Connecticut received 50 broodstock salmon, some as large as 15 pounds, this week setting up a unique fishing opportunity. Trout action in the TMA’s of Connecticut and throughout Cape Cod, has been productive again this week. Bottom fishing in Rhody continues to blow minds as blackfish to 12 pounds, scores of sea bass and a smattering of codfish are exciting anglers on every trip. Holdover striped bass action is lighting up across southern New England as well, don’t spend precious fishing time at the mall, buy online and fish more this week!
