It’s been an action-packed week in the form of a blockbuster snowstorm and bitter arctic cold, along with a barrage of ice fishing reports. Winter trout stocking continues in Rhode Island and Connecticut and ice anglers are already seeing results. Pike action has been solid throughout the region on select lakes. It seems like the pickerel bite has really heated up with the bitter cold and anglers are cashing in with some impressive specimens. Coastal areas and the Cape are freezing up, but proceed with caution… where the ice is safe, catches have been good. Stay warm out there!
