What a week for ice fishermen! With safe ice blanketing – nearly – every lake and pond in New England, the tip-ups and augers were out in full force! Nearly every species available was caught through the ice this week, some highlights include Seeforellen brown trout, stripers and many, MANY trophy-class largemouth bass. A shakeup in the weather will take a toll on the ice this week, but moving north and west will keep the hardcores drilling and catching. Also, the New England edition staff will be split between two shows this week; the Narragansett Surfcasters Surf Day on Saturday and the New England Boat Show through Sunday.
