The bluefin bite went from 0 to 60 in a heartbeat this week with good reports of BFT’s averaging in the ‘medium class’ from areas south of Block Island and east of Chatham. The quote we keep hearing is, “there were tuna busting everywhere!” Several boats made canyon runs this week as well and found a mix of yellows, big eyes and swords for their efforts. Inshore striped bass fishing remains strong from the Cape to Block and into Long Island Sound, even the Canal seemed to get better this week. Get out there and make the most of this July full moon!
