New England Video Fishing Forecast – July 22, 2021

The Fisherman Magazine Weekend Video Forecast 7/22/2021 – New England

The best striper fishing is occurring in two places; Block Island and The Race. There are mixed sizes in both locations, but Block is the place to go if you want the best chance at a giant. The Canal has fallen quiet for now, we’ll see what the full moon brings. Tuna chasers are having a phenomenal season; the school tuna bite is still strong at The Claw, Coxes, The Dump and The Gully and some giants are mixing in out there now as well. For those holding an HMS Permit that are looking for a giant, head east to The Sword or Crab Ledge, where schools of horse mackerel are keeping the big bluefins on the feed. Fluking has been a RI and NY thing, for the most part; Isabella and Montauk seem to be the best bets this week. Sea-bassing has been hot from Newport, to Block, to Fishers and throughout most of Long Island Sound. Bonito and chub macks are now in residence in Rhody, we have about one month of summer fishing left, make it count!
