Striped bass seem to be on everyone’s minds right now with great fishing filling the entirety of our coverage area! Red hot bites are exploding in western Long Island Sound, off of Newport, RI and in parts of Buzzards Bay. We’ve seen fish into the 30-pound class as far north as Portland, Maine and we’ve seen a good number of trophies eclipsing the 50-pound mark over the last two weeks. But it’s not just the bass that are biting! We’re also hearing about some solid fluking along the Rhody shoreline and out at Block Island. Sea-bassing is also looking good in Nantucket Sound.
