Old Man Winter made his presence known after a season-long absence, blanketing much of the Northeast with somewhere between 2 and 10 inches of snow… the fish reacted by strapping on the feedbag. We heard some good reports of holdover striped bass biting well during the height of the snowfall and largemouth bass action seems to be getting steadily better every day. Trout stocking has begun in Connecticut, we even have a story about one angler casting flies to trout swimming under a sheet of skim ice… and he actually succeeded in catching one!
