A multi-day nor’easter has left dirty water and some heavy waves in its wake and most north- and east-facing shorelines are still feeling the effects. Our south-facing shores though, are recovering well and the tog bite is coming back to life. The best striper action has been in the Canal, but look for the bass bite to rapidly recharge coming into this weekend. The big question is albies, and the jury is still out on that one, although we have seen some bonito rejoining the game near the Vineyard. This weekend will tell us a lot about what the immediate future holds for false albacore in New England. The weekend weather looks pretty good, get out there and make it count!
