It’s been a bumpy week, literally, with heavy groundswell battering shorelines thanks to twin hurricanes churning way out in the Atlantic. But the fishing has seemed to take the punches gracefully. The big news of the week is a new class of weakfish entering Narragansett Bay, with a strong push of fish in western Long Island Sound as well. Striper fishing has favored the surfcaster with good reports from Boston Metro, the Canal and Rhody. Togging has been very good in Buzzards Bay and throughout Rhode Island. Albie fishing seems to be finding its stride, with strongholds in Nantucket Sound and the western half of Rhode Island. Seas are calming down quick, just in time for the weekend!
