Yes that’s right, there are still albies around, although the impending storm could signal their final exit for 2025; the best area has been the Vineyard, but some are mixed in with abundant bonito in Rhode Island as well. Togging seemed to level up again this week with all three southern New England states putting out double-digit fish. Striper action has been slower overall, with pockets of greatness, Long Island Sound and South County, RI have been the best bets for bass. Inland anglers have a plethora of stocked options for trophy trout and salmon, along with a burgeoning largemouth bite. And Wachusett Reservoir is roaring to life as well.
