Sometimes a storm can be a bad thing during the height of the fall run, but other times a major shakeup is exactly what we need. The fall run has been running a bit… stagnant, across much of the region and stable weather is playing a major part in this slow start. We really haven’t seen a departure from summer all month long, and as a result, water temps have only dropped slightly and we haven’t seen much movement or feeding urgency on the part of the major players of the fall run in the Northeast. This storm should be the trigger that fires off the fall run in southern New England. This week we get strategic, with plays to run for various species before and after the big blow.
