
Hardtail hunters continue to find mostly bonito, which have now expanded their range deep into Long Island Sound. Albie reports continue to trickle in to Nantucket Sound and areas around the Vineyard; the lack of numbers has some anglers concerned, but some real tanks have been landed so far. Striper action is best north of Boston and along the coast of eastern Rhode Island. Bottom fishing has really come back to life across the region with some solid togging reported and a few heavyweight fluke as well. It’s starting to feel like fall and the fish are taking notice!
