Long Island, Metro NY - Freshwater Fishing Reports

Long Island, Metro Video Fishing Forecast May 14, 2026

Youtube video

A heavy week across the Long Island fishing scene as we cover the latest striped bass and fluke action from around the island, newly finalized 2026 black sea bass regulations, upcoming fishing events, and reports from our correspondents stretching from Montauk to the west end. This week’s forecast also takes a moment to honor several respected names recently lost within the fishing community, including Captain Al Lorenzetti, Stu Miller, and Pelagic Outfitters owner Christopher Ramos. Plus, we’ve got fresh catches from the surf, bays, party boats and backwaters, along with a look at the Regulator Open House at Suffolk Marine and more regional fishing events heading into the heart of the spring run.
