The 2nd annual Barrier Island Beach Brawl surf fishing tournament is set for October 9-10 for surfcasters between Manasquan and Barnegat inlets. Presented by Saltwater Underground with Nick Honachefsky, the Crab’s Claw Inn and Playa Bowls, the contest is for surfcasters only and exclusively for the front beaches between Point Pleasant and Island Beach.
According to Honachefsky, there were eight cash prize payouts and $15,000 worth of free raffle giveaways from Yeti, Costa, Shimano, St. Croix, Mustad, Gamakatsu, Spro, Rapala, Storm, Tsunami, Magictails, Tony Maja, The Fisherman Magazine and more.
A multi-species contest with a striper release only segment, entry is just $40 and qualifies you for a host of potential prizes, without even without weighing a fish.
